Ways to help fund our activities

If you decide to donate funds using any of the following methods, your support for needy animals will be greatly appreciated.  Each year, hundreds of donations are forwarded to the Irish Blue Cross in recognition of our mobile clinic work and our work carried out in partnership with veterinary practices.

Here are a number of straightforward ways to support the charity:

By contributing to our annual Appeals
Twice yearly the Irish Blue Cross runs mailing campaigns aimed at raising substantial levels of funds for needy animals.  Our campaigns convey to supporters the extent and nature of our work for pets in most need of our care.  By giving your name and address we will include you in future campaigns.

By setting up a standing order
Why not consider contacting your bank or building society to request a standing order in favor of the Irish Blue Cross on a once yearly, quarterly or monthly basis? Our bank account number is 01580039, held at Allied Irish Bank, 40-41 Westmoreland Street, Dublin 2. The sort code is 93 12 25. We will keep you up to date on our work by being in regular contact.

Make an on-line donation or forward a cheque or postal order right away!
You can support our work today by making an on-line donation by clicking here or if you wish please post a cheque or postal order to the Irish Blue Cross, 15A Goldenbridge Industrial Estate, Inchicore, Dublin 8. If you are giving an amount equal to or over €250.00 please let us know if you are in the PAYE sector, as this will mean that additional funds will be directed to the charity through Revenue’s special tax efficient scheme.

Consider Blue Cross when making your will
A legacy to the Irish Blue Cross will help us plan future activities and allow us to assist even greater numbers of animals. For example, our future objectives will focus on expansion of services to include our own veterinary clinic, etc. We will forward you a copy of our legacy literature so that you can reflect on how this method of planned giving might suit you.

Tax efficient giving through Revenue's special scheme for charities
Remember, if you are in the PAYE sector and you are taxed at 42%, a donation of €250 will result in a total benefit of €431.00 to the Irish Blue Cross. If you are on the lower rate of income tax at 20% and make a donation of €250.00 this will mean a total benefit of €312.00 for the charity. To assist us in claiming this additional cash from Revenue you will be requested to sign a form, stating your PPS number, etc.

If you are self-employed and you donate €250.00 to the Irish Blue Cross and your tax liability is 42%, then the actual cost to you is €145.00. If your tax liability is 20%, then your donation of €250.00 will cost you €200.00.
