TROYTOWN EQUINE HOSPITAL AWARDED THE IRISH BLUE CROSS SPECIAL MERIT AWARD, 2008 AT LEOPARDSTOWN RACECOURSE

On Monday October 27th, 2008, The Irish Blue Cross Special Merit Award, in its eleventh year was presented to Troytown Equine Hospital following the Irish Blue Cross sponsored Handicap race at Leopardstown racecourse. Troytown was singled out as the 2008 recipient of the Award because of its excellence in providing emergency, preventative and round the clock aftercare to equines.

Troytown vet, Hugh Dillon said that it was an honour to receive the Award (lovely Celtic Roots bog oak piece) and that  it was a great pleasure to work alongside the Irish Blue Cross in the provision of vital services to the Irish racing industry.  The Award is given annually to an individual or individuals in the racing industry who has/have made an outstanding contribution to the welfare of racehorses, directly or indirectly. Nominations for next year’s Irish Blue Cross Special Merit Award can be forwarded to chris@bluecross.ie
