The Role
We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our Inchicore Clinic team on a permanent basis.
You will support surgical nursing, inpatient care, and client consultation and communication, helping us provide practical, compassionate care and maintain strong welfare standards for every patient.
Key Duties
- Surgical and general nursing duties (e.g. admissions, anaesthesia, recovery)
- In-patient care (e.g. monitoring, fluid therapy, medication administration)
- Triage of emergency cases and providing phone advice
- Accurate record-keeping and stock management
- Maintaining clinic hygiene and assisting with lock-up
- Providing supportive, respectful client communication and care
Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Nurse (VCI)
- Strong clinical, organisational, and communication skills
- Professional, pragmatic, and compassionate approach
- Ability to work well in a team and independently

Casual Receptionist
We are seeking a Casual Receptionist to join our dedicated team at our Inchicore Clinic.
This flexible role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and animals in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. As the first point of contact for clients, you will provide professional, friendly, and efficient front-of-house support to ensure the smooth running of our busy clinic.
You will assist with appointments, client queries, and administrative duties, helping our team deliver compassionate care to as many pets as possible.
Key Duties
- Welcome clients and ensure a professional, caring experience at all times
- Manage phone calls and emails efficiently and courteously
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Verify client eligibility and maintain accurate records
- Handle payments and adhere to cash-handling procedures
- Maintain a tidy, organised reception and waiting area
- Liaise with suppliers and coordinate deliveries/collections
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the veterinary team
- Assist with mobile clinic duties and general clinic upkeep when required
- Communicate effectively with staff to ensure smooth clinic operations
About You
You are professional, reliable, and empathetic with excellent communication and organisational skills. You remain calm under pressure, have strong attention to detail, and take pride in providing excellent customer service.
Experience in a veterinary or medical reception environment is an advantage, but not essential.
You will have a positive, flexible, and caring approach towards The Irish Blue Cross, its teams, clients, and their pets.
Requirements

Experienced Vet Surgeon
Position : Veterinary Surgeon
Location : The Irish Blue Cross, Inchicore
Contract : Full-time, (part-time will be considered), permanent, no OOH

Weekends : 1:4 Saturday mornings

The Irish Blue Cross has a vacancy for a full-time veterinary surgeon to help us deliver contextualised veterinary care through our recently refurbished Inchicore clinic. Part-time applications will be considered.
We are looking for an experienced and confident vet, proficient in both medicine and surgery. The ideal candidate will be 3+ years qualified. You will be joining a close-knit team, committed to providing this vital service for our diverse client base and their pets.

Volunteer Mobile Clinic Drivers Wanted
We are currently recruiting for Volunteer Mobile Clinic Drivers to join our amazing Volunteer team.
You must have a current C1 drivers licence, and be able to commit to one evening per week.
Overview of the Volunteer Mobile Veterinary Unit Driver
Our Volunteer Drivers drive The Irish Blue Cross Mobile Veterinary Units to locations within Dublin from our central base at Inchicore.
The clinics commence at 6.00pm and operate until 8.30pm approximately. The Mobile Veterinary Unit will need to be picked up from the central base approximately an hour ahead of the clinic start time to allow time to reach the destination, taking traffic and other variables into consideration.
On arrival, the driver will assist in a general capacity with the queue of clients and when the clinic is finished, he/she will drive the vehicle back to base and lock it up.
Locations of Evening Service
There are ten regular weekly evening-time locations, Monday to Friday, as follows:
Monday – Cabra and Tallaght
Tuesday – Crumlin and Blanchardstown
Wednesday – Ballyfermot, Ballybrack and Smithfield
Thursday – Finglas and Walkinstown
Friday – Whitehall
