Whether you’re a first-time fundraiser or a seasoned fundraising pro, your support can make a huge difference. Whatever event or challenge you decide to organise or take part in, we’re here to cheer you on. Contact us on fundraising@bluecross.ie to see what we can do to help you.
Here are just a few fundraising ideas to get you started!
Go Blue for Irish Blue Cross – Host a “Blue” day in your workplace or school, get everyone involved and ask them to donate.
Hold a coffee morning or tea party – put the kettle on and enjoy a slice of cake and a catch up with friends and family. You can make it a traditional tea party or a themed event. Make it as elegant or laid-back as you want, it’s up to you.
Organise a Table Quiz – everyone loves a trivia quiz that can put their knowledge to the test! Approach your local pub or sports club for a possible venue, advertise well in advance and charge a fee per trivia team. Always a great night out and a fun way to help raise money to help our furry friends.
Get baking – organising a bake sale is an excellent way to raise money for charity. They’re easy to organise and you get the opportunity to show off your Mary Berry skills! You can organise them at home, your local sports club or at your workplace.
Have a clear out – is it time for a Spring clean? Why not clear out your wardrobes and cupboards and sell what you don’t want at a car boot sale or you could host a clothes swap shop!
Give it up – hold a sponsored ‘give something up’ daywith friends and colleagues. Give up chocolate, coffee…or even talking! What could you live without?
Or how about an Irish Blue Cross collection box for the reception area at your workplace? Now you can get rid of all those coins you’ve been carrying around.
